Join us on May 6, 2023, for the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the History Museum of Burke County and a Museum Open House, where you can enjoy the History Museum one room at a time thanks to our excellent docents!
*Additional parking will be available at the CoMMA and trolley service between the CoMMA and the History Museum will be available during the event
In addition to the museum exhibit open house in our main building, this event will feature the following:
Official Dedication of the brand-new “Dignity of Work” Monument in front of the History Museum
The Official opening of the Workers' Legacy Exhibition in the main exhibit hall of the History Museum
Historical Demonstrations provided by the Southeastern Civilian Living Historians (SCLH) including woodworking and textile manufacturing
Exhibits in the History Museum Annex (right next-door to the museum) featuring artifacts from the Exploring Joara Foundation (EJF), and an exhibition of Scouting Memorabilia
