The Museum is open to all guest.

Admission to the museum is free.
Donations are gratefully accepted.

Museum Tours

Our tours are docent led and unscripted. Tours are available during regular hours of operation. A typical tour can last 1-1/2 to 2 hours but can be adjusted to suit your schedule. For special tours after hours or group tours, please call in advance.

In conjunction with the Burke County Schools, and private schools, we provide tours to many groups of Burke County School children. See Groups for more information.

The Museum as a Place for Meetings

Civic groups, local organizations, and class reunion groups are welcome to meet at the Museum. You may have catered food brought in. A Museum tour is available upon request. There is no charge as long as a member of the group is a Museum Member. A Museum member must be present throughout the meeting. Please call in advance to schedule.

Museum Shop

Visit the gift shop for a good selection of books related to Burke County history. Notecards and crafts by local artisans are also featured.
