This months Coffee at the Museum will feature Ms. Jane Tate, descendant of Colonel Samuel McDowell Tate.She will speak about the history of the Cedars, now home to Morganton Savings Bank. The core of the house was built in 1850 and was remodeled by Col. Samuel McDowell Tate in 1868 where a Mansford roof was added as well as a three story octogonal tower was added.
