Our March Coffee at the Museum is going to be so much fun! You won’t want to miss it!
Join us on Thursday, March 28, at 10:00 AM for a hands-on, immersive experience of the 18th century presented by Robert Patton, President of the Historical Burke Foundation.
You will not only hear a presentation, you will have a chance to try on 18th century clothing, hold Revolutionary War weapons, participate in a military drill, receive a handout of historical facts and join in a lively question and answer session.
Robert Patton’s family arrived on American soil in 1748 and moved to Rowan County in 1755 which became Burke then/now McDowell County. They lived on Bob’s Creek now dedicated as Bob’s Creek State Natural Area. Four generations of Patton Educators are namesakes of the Robert L Patton High School.
Admission is free and open to the public. Make sure to mark your calendar!!
